FDDAC / ADC Architecture:
Turning conventional wisdom on its head.
The transmitter architecture
InCirT’s architecture achieves extremely wide coherent modulation bandwidth at high signal quality, at high spectral efficiency AND extremely low power consumption. Our latest development, the FDDAC TX-2 for instance, achieves 8GHz coherent modulation bandwidth (56Gbps) using (only) GF 22FDx technology. Our architecture can be used to build DAC-based as well as DAC-less digital transmitter systems. It is highly versatile and can satisfy a wide variety of system requirements, be it ultra-wide bandwidth of >20GHz, >12 ENOB and / or ultra-low power consumption. Moreover, this architecture works in any semiconductor technology. It achieves all this by a) eliminating the need for oversampling to generate a high quality, high spectral purity, wide modulation bandwidth signal and b) by eliminating the need for both analog and digital filters to increase bandwidth efficiency and to attenuate Nyquist replicas.
The receiver architecture
Our receiver architecture delivers high ENOB at very wide analysis bandwidth. It eliminates the necessity of the aliasing filter at the ADC input, reducing receiver system complexity and cost. It is highly versatile and can satisfy a wide variety of system requirements, be it ultra-wide bandwidth of >10GHz, >12 ENOB and / or ultra-low power consumption.
